The John Martin chapter represented the SAR with a float in two parades on July 4, 2026.
The Linton, IN Freedom Festival parade began at 10 AM. It is Indiana’s largest parade and was fully televised live on WTWO.
The Brazil, IN parade began at 2 PM. SAR members provided to Color Guard to lead the parade.
Participating members included: William Behnke (State President), Allen Hayne, Bruce Lautenschlauger, Norton Newcomb, Ben Porter, Kevin Schultz, and Kent Salitros. Wives and Ladies’ Auxiliary members present included Joyce Behnke (float driver), Rachel Porter, and Peggy Salitros.
